“Walking beside family, While Staying on My Path.”

My family is back in society and I am happy to have them here again to walk this walk me. I love the fact that they are able to begin again with a fresh start. A second chancer doesn’t necessarily mean an easy road. Coming home after being gone a while can definitely bring challenges, rebuilding relationships, finding stability, making different choices, and adjusting to life again.

I want to lead by example by making positive choices in my own life. I want to be able to show by my own actions, rather than tell what they should be doing. I think it’s important to show by example how I problem-solve and who I surround myself with, how I pursue my goals, and how I just keep moving forward in general.

I want to be a support without losing myself through it all. Being supportive doesn’t mean saying yes to everything or joining someone’s struggles because sometimes love means having boundaries.

We both have a road ahead. They have theirs and I have mines, but we can walk a good journey together.

The message I want readers to take away is ” Sometimes being aa good example isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about showing someone, through the way you live, that change is possible.

While you may be beginning a new chapter I am continuing my own new chapter as well. No one has to be perfect to be an example, you just have to keep choosing the life you’re trying to build.
